As you may have noticed, I've been doing some work on the site. I apologize for disappearing, and hope to start making things right again. I realize it won't be easy. Eventually I will do a more formal announcement (apology, action plan, etc) but I'd like to focus on a few basics on the backend first. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the speed improvement and staying logged in.

We will be planning and working out the next phase of the site so expect big things to be coming in September! I'll have limited internet access so if you need anything just give Steve a private message or email, steve at customize dot org.

This section has been in the plans for a while now and is a reflection of the direction Steve and I will be taking the site over the coming months. Most of you are already familiar with our friends at deviantArt and ArtUproar. They also started as customization sites and by turning to...

lamplighter says:

There were two main points of focus for EVO: community and customization. Steve has already made a post on many of the new community-related features ( http://beta.customize.org/blogs/view/19 ). Here is an overview of the new features that we hope will make the whole customization process a lot more fun, positive, and intuitive: "I like it" or "I love it!" -- Every submission now features these two choices. Not only will your votes be saved in your Favorites for future reference, they...
