my documents in windows explorer

From your desktop, or the folder in general? If desktop, right click the desktop and go to properties. On the Desktop Tab, go down to customize desktop and click it. On that window, uncheck the box for it, and apply the settings.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace

You should have an entry for "My Documents", click on each clsid and see which one it is. Delete it, and it won't show up in Explorer/My Computer (but the folder will still be there).
