Teenager Posts Suicide Not on MySpace

that article is confusing; it jumps around alot. stupid kids.

Do they not teach the spelling in grammar school these days?

"He killed himself over a girl "and other things," writes Flower King Of Flies on MySpace, who says the death was preventable." damn, your online name never sounds stupid until it's presented in a serious manner. But, yea, i find the article kinda sad in a way because the guy is now just a face floating around Myspace. The article is attempting to be a eulogy to this kid but such stuff like "Josh loved "girls who cry"; was married; was 8 feet, 11 inches tall and made $250,000 a year or more. Josh was a smartass. He posted self-portraits that featured him at his emo-kid best..." are facts directly pulled from his myspace. A whole world looking at this kid and nobody knew him. Crap now i'm sad.

I actually knew him when he went to the same middleschool as I did. Regardless of how poor his spelling isor what his beliefs are, he didn't deserve to die. RIP.

yea i wanna punch c72 in the face for making a joke about someone's suicide...fckin faggot! my friend almost committed suicide so i understand the issue. if you don't understand suicide or know any family or friend who's had struggles with it, please don't make smartass comments about it

colossus never said anything about suicide, he commented on grammar. calm down

one of my friends found both the kids' myspaces pretty soon after he got caught. kinda weird.

quintessence: Yeah, I heard about that (Though I'm an Indiana user too). I'm pretty sure it's gotten a lot of publicity though - I saw his MySpace as well. The girls was taken down shortly.

Any life, no matter how horrible or hopeless it may seem is still better than no life at all, and if you have thoughts towards such an act as taking your own life, then you should turn to God, for he shall save you. Suicide is never an answer. Always have hope. No one and nothing can ever take that away from you.

Suiside is a means to an end, noone can tell us why this kid decided to kill himself.

If I interpreted things right, colossus72 was commenting on the editors article (which was shit, the writer should be sacked and then have a MySpace group dedicated to flaming his ass no less) aswell as the stereotype the most online communities can't write ... real ... good ... enough ... right?

Now here's me crossing that line, do you think all that thinking, acting, dreaming of self-mutilation, depression and suiside contributed to this action? If so, half of Australia is going to be wiped out by this emo virus. Think about it, then comment.

Janis Dohmann's Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

2 Eggs, Slightly Beaten
1 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1/4 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1-1/4 Cups Broken Texas native pecans
Preheat oven to 375 deg F.

Directions:

Spread pecans in an unbaked 9-inch pie shell.

Mix remaining ingredients and pour over pecans.

Bake at 375 deg F. for 40 to 50 minutes or until filling is set.

Tips:

1. Cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil about halfway through baking to prevent crust from getting too brown before the pie is done.

2. For best results, be sure to use only Texas native pecans. If you insist on using hybrid pecans or pecans grown in some other state, don't complain to us if you aren't happy with the way your pie turns out.

3. Note that this recipe calls for Light Corn syrup (we use the Karo brand). Many people use dark syrup in their pecan pies but we find that this gives the pies a rather strong taste and a darker, less appealing texture.
