customize.org or ADVERTISE.org?

i read the custo content not the popups, so they dont bother me...

this stuff is starting to piss me off.......what would you like: no custo or custo with popunders?

I don't use any pop-up filtering and Custo is as smooth as a baby's bottom on my 'puter.

Do the Custo ads use Active X Scripting? That might be the case because I have blocked Active X in my browser settings.

Is customize.org, it says so in the title. Also, .org is non profit organisations, so ADVERTISING.ORG would be a fairly strange venture.

I've never had popups anyway. Come to think of it, I don't see ads either...

Ha! I've never gotten a pop up here. No filtering app either, I must just be lucky! All I see is the ad at the top, and the one at the bottom.

i get 2 popups whenever i log on, so annoying, if it's non profit, why do you have ads? less is nice !

non-profit organizations still have expenses..

i think it's pretty clear why we need advertisements, and although some people find it a nuissance, they're necessary to keep this site up

I wonder if any of these pop-up haters have ever tried to run a free site on non-free hosting services before. With the traffic this place gets the bandwidth alone must make husting this place pretty pricy. Unless you have your own server. In which case its cheaper but by no means free.

The admins have already stated that they do not put the popups here. They are triggered by certan on site banner ads placed by their ad company. They have no control over it unfortunately.

And for those of you using popup killers. Thanks for denying custo its only method for recouping costs:p

If custo needs pop-ups to stay alive, then let it be. NO ONE wants custo to disappear again. If the pop-ups really do annoy you, just go to that link the guy gave above. It gets rid of all.

Yes but if everyone blocks the popups custo loses money. So if you really dont want custo to dissapear ..tal an extra.5 seconds out of your life and close em manually:)

does custo gets $$ for clicked ads or display? If it get $$ for click then i wouldn't be payable anyway since i haven't click a single ads in all my years of browsing.

If it's by display, then i'm as profitable as anyone since me pop-up killer kills'em a second or two after they pop up. Best of both worlds: site gets their money for display and i'm free of the hassle of closing 36 pop-up window! :)

either your avtiveX plug-in isn't activated, or you're using a pop-up killer without knowing it ... wich i doubt ! :-)
