I'll start it off with a haphazard theme I started working on this afternoon. It's amazing what you can get done when you don't feel like leaving the house. Damn colds.
Here's something I've been working on for the past month. By the time I finish it, of course, I'll be sick of it and end up modding the hell out of it after release. :P Linking to it on dA, since my host's bandwidth somehow exeeded the daily limit.
giraffe: great render, what rendering system is that under?
Also, the floor is pretty great, but some faked DOF would really help, the detail stays too fine as it goes back. It's just a little unnatural looking so it distracts a bit.
but really, good work on those materials, esp your metal and plastic. Peachy. The chrome clip on the pen looks odd to me though, maybe a falloff map in that map's reflection map would calm it down?
Print I just created for a friend of mine for christmas. Didn't start out with any particular goal, so I used a bunch of techniques from the last thing I made, and slowly came out with that. I don't think it's that good, but it'll suit the reciever just fine.
