We got a GIGA PACK. And i can tell you the only thing i thought was "Wow... why hasnīt that been available when i was 10? I had my grey and red old gameboy..."
The image quality is really good and now that we have a wlan i can share files with my brother and he doesnīt need another gadget for movies, pictures, music...
Yes. Itīs exepnsive. Itīs a prestige object and it is from Sony. And it looks beautiful. I do like it.
Already the UMD design on itīs own looks fantastic.
The PSP dominates. I've been waiting for the end of this day to see if I can accumilate enough money to get a gigapack, but I already have enough for the PSP itself.

well, if you want movies, music, pictures and games all in one package, then the psp is your solution. now, on the other hand, if you want all of that, minus the games, your solution would be a 5thGen iPod. iPods run about $300 and the psp is about $250. i have to admit, i really wanted a psp badlt, but after having it for about a month and a half, i sold it because i really just wasn't using it very much, and i am very minimal when it comes to what i carry on me, usually if it doesn't slip into m pocket, i won't carry it at all. (hell, i even buy only the mini altoid tins because the normal size are too big lol) so i opted to get a black ipod nano 2GB and i must say, it is the sexiest little thing ive ever owned. sorry for going off tpoic =)
myndfucht is right. everybody i know who has a psp is saying its really cool but they dont use it very much. ipod is more expensive but a lot more functional for the things u cary with you when u walk on the street.
I got one at midnight on lanch day. The graphics are a lot smoother than I thought they would be, and the colors are so crisptacular. Plus with eBay you can customize them to your liking. It's worth the money in my opinion.
it's a robust, well-thought-out device. the screen is gorgeous and whole thing feels solid and well built.
the problem is that it doesn't have any good games.
it will in time, i'm certain of that. but you'd do yourself good to wait until more games come out, and the price goes down. as of now, it's more a glorified portable video player.
I understand where myndfucht is coming from with his minimal thing -- which is why I sold my old phone, ipod, digital camera and FM radio and replaced it with a Sony Walkman phone. There are compromises, but it's still been the best tech purchase I've made since my orginal digicam back in the day.
PSPs really arent that great, do some research... a couple of my friends got some and sold them after a month or so they say its cool for like a week and then you realize what a huge waste of money it is.
i'm not sure i'd call it a waste of money, if you take advantage of all the things it can do.
unfortunately the UMD format for movies is a joke, and the memory stick format for storage is very limiting if you want to use the psp as a multimedia device. you'll end up spending enough to buy two games on a 1gb stick.
while waiting for all the a-list games, enjoy the several decent ones available and the shit tons of sytems you can emulate. Anyone who poos poos the thing is just wishing they had one.
Exactly, there is more to the PSP than meets the eye or even what the box says. Like Wynton, you can customize your PSP to your liking rather it be outside or inside. You can customize almost anything that comes to the market nowadays, so it's like the functionalities (raped the spelling?) are almost unlimited.

I only hope PSP embraces the Homebrew community rather than blasting them. Sure, the emulators are illegal now, but let sega give the ok for a Genesis emulator, and you never know...ok, that won't happen, but I have a program called PSPKick...it's pretty much a portable music beat maker. There's always the possibility.
