so the thing is im not sure what RAM i should get, Im thinking about getting Corsair for $87. But I don't if i should get kingston or something different
Also could I get an opinion about the HDD.

Why are you asking us? We customize desktops, and more importantly why are you telling us about your other 2 computer that are going to run Linux?
Anyways, you should read reviews on the products at like http://newegg.com/ or something. I would base my decision on that.
Garon Shanks AEIIV.net Do you believe, in what you see?

He's asking because most people that dig the whole customizing thing have at least general knowledge of hardware. Therefore, we're a userbase that can help him out with his decisions.
Anyways, I've heard good things about both kingston and corsair, so you probably won't go wrong with either. I personally use corsair, but it was a toss up when I originally made the purchase.
As for hard drives, Western Digitals work just fine. Other good brands, in my experience, are Seagate or Samsung hard drives. My main concern would be hard drive space, but if you look at any of my screenshots displaying the "my computer" window, you'll notice that I hoard quite a large amount of stuff. I guess it just depends on how you want to use this computer. If you plan on storing a lot of media, then up the hard drive size, if not, you'll be just fine with what you've got.

Can't go wrong with Corsair or Kingston. I'm personally using Corsair at the moment, but would be just as confident using Kingston. I'm actually running two Raptor's (RAID0) right now, too, so I like that choice aswell. I've had no problems at all with them.
One thing: You don't mention what kind of PSU you're getting. Make sure it's a high quality one from a reputable company.

With a PC like that you would be able to play most (if not all) games out there.

Corsair: good.
Kingston: good.
Raptor: good. (For performance; drive space is somewhat "limited.")

had a problem with some kingston ram before, but the customer service was great and they replaced it w/o any problems, and haven't had a problem with the replacement ram either...

i would go with a nice OCZ set of ram. lifetime warranty and prices are great. get a platinum or gold kit, depending on the default performance you want out of them. Corsair is solid too. just a bit more expensive for the same performance as OCZ.
i got a raptor. i have always liked WD, but every WD HDD has failed for me so far. personally, if i wanted that extra kick, i would go with one of the new 15000 rpm drives out now, like from Hitachi.

just get whatever has the best reviews at newegg that's within your price range, hard to go wrong.

good luck, btw. these days it seems like more and more at least one or two components are fucked up right out of the box when you get 'em, no matter what brands you buy.
