text editors

use notepad. 'nuff said.

Other text editors usually have some kind of feature (or set of features) that make them in some way more useful than the default text editor.

basically the only noticable major different thing between notepad and "other" text editors would be syntax highlighting.

Some things I look for in a text editor:
- multi-ducument interface (MDI)
- syntax highlighting
- ftp support
- find and replace in files

Notepad++ is what I use, but well, I use it especially for coding/skinning, it does all the stuff that a regualr notepad does, plus syntax highlighting/folding, multiple file type supports etc, tabs are good to have as well, instead of opening each document in separate windows...

Notepad++ rocks. Editpad Lite is a good free one, too.

"getDiz" is a text editor. that may you abble to read and create .nfo & .diz too.
