text editors
Can someone tell me the difference between various text editors? Is there one that is better than others? Or would I be just as well using the default windows notepad? thx save early...save often

Other text editors usually have some kind of feature (or set of features) that make them in some way more useful than the default text editor.

basically the only noticable major different thing between notepad and "other" text editors would be syntax highlighting. ============== One day a man walked into a bar. Ouch. Visit me at http://www.evdawg.com please!

Some things I look for in a text editor: - multi-ducument interface (MDI) - syntax highlighting - ftp support - find and replace in files Two of the top freeware editors with these features:http://www.crimsoneditor.com http://www.pspad.com/en/

Notepad++ is what I use, but well, I use it especially for coding/skinning, it does all the stuff that a regualr notepad does, plus syntax highlighting/folding, multiple file type supports etc, tabs are good to have as well, instead of opening each document in separate windows... For more features, have a look on the website :http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm ___________________________ Nylons | vision league™ :: Have some serious fun :D ::
