For the record, heyslut, yeah sure i used nano as a base, and it might have been a bit nano inspired, BUT i went in a remade every USABLE image, i left no image nor settting the same. I took it down because you seemed to have your sandy panties all in a nasty twist that couldnt be untangled. I would have thought it an honor to have something you worked on inspire the creation of something else. BTW, Since you had to go and crack it open in stylebuilder, that little image in they explorer bar section is for you. Seems like you need some.

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...i know exactly how split feels, because i know he worked hard on element, but the ball of clay he started with was called nano, he tried to take the nano out, couldnt, and is now probably very annoyed that his excellent vs has come under fire...in other words, i could see alot of people reacting the way he did, because this was a situation where people jumped to conclusions quickly about stuff all us artists are passionate about...its hard not to do, and things like this will happen...i dont think split was intentional in his ways, i dont think cara was out of line for her reaction, and i dont think anyone should quit submitting their work or continue to use this philosophy about submitting work. the only reason one would do so is to either display their work in hopes of getting feedback, or prove their talents an artist to a new group of people, having already received positive feedback...my pt is, if you make something like nano and submit it, youre never doing it all 'so people can have a nice quality vs', youre doing at least some of it so folks can see your an awesome artist with acute attention to detail and style...so people like imrik, who's built a reputation already an as excellent artist, can gain no cred here unless its through screenshots of all custom stuff that they'll never realease, unless they release their work...i just want artists whove decided to take this route and people whove heard this news that serious exposure is lost by submitting to a site like custo that has considerable clout...so dont even get down on those guys, if you want exposire, work hard and submit good stuff...if you want to do screenshots only and never release stuff, great (i actually dig the idea of having SOME stuff in ss's thtat not everyone can use)...i think c72 has the right idea, something along the lines of lighten up, dont criticize it, legalize it...time to get lifted and work on my new sam config...peace & love to all of custo

I know you are trying to sound logical and smart, but you aren't. Plagurism isn't about profit, it is about the stealing of intellectual property - art, music, ideas, whatnot. There is no problem with him using Nano as a base, but he needs to give credit if he used something that belongs to someone else. And as much as you try to debate it, you KNOW that is true.
Next time, check your facts and logic before you argue. You'd save everyone a lot of time.
when the work is not you'rs don't put you're name on it ,if u use ellements from someone elses work give credits and ask before releasing .
one of the reasson i don't upload annymore wallpapers...designs is because one day i was scrolling DA and by big surprise a 3D design i did for class was usid in someones wall and he got a featured deviant out of it , he even made a brush set out of them ...it really sucks to see someone walk away with the honor when you are the one how has put mad hours and hard work into it .
