hi guys just wanted to share a litl shot from an animation i'm working on ...backdrop is temporarly pic ..should give you some idea...
cubes come floating down the stairs while the shadow floats over the walls and floor ....backdrop is going to be simular looking metro station from my city ..can post animation yet cause still needs loads of tweaking ...its not a big deal ,but its turning out quite ok with the sound and all , ...
Looking good man, dunno bout the color of the squares though, look kinda out of place with red since its a pretty shinny color, but maybe thats the idea, being out of place, i mean how often do you see 3d squares on a metro station? Good work man, id like to see the finished animation
Great work. But I do agree with colossus, there should definately be more light from the top, and left. Definately more on the top tho. :) I think this is gonna be awesome when it's completed.
colossus ,you're probably wright ,problem is if i put more licht on the viewers left i'm messing up the shadow part on wall ...i also tryed using multiple lights on null points when moving put that messes up the shadow also ...

Holy crap! That's a big message! And I thought a 30K image was nuts!
In my humble opinion some motion blur, and the depth of field effect will work in your lovely animation. those will also help for the lightning issues... You may use mirrored, desaturated, and transparent version of those cubes for the shadows..

WOW...the cube idea is really really cool. Extremeist is right though....it needs something else...a different lighting...transparent cubes maybe, a different colour? The idea is awesome though...I'm looking forward to the finished product!
