well okay i downloaded the skin builder from tgt soft and it asked me for a key which i do not have..it's the free trial

i also too wonder if there isn't an easy way to mod existing vs's like just changing some colour values, but what do you need to upack the vs? does it have to be the software from tgt soft?

Reshacker can unpack the visualstyle. It's free.
ResEdit, from TGTSoft can unpack a visualstyle and even has more option geared at visualstyles, and it's free.

As far as I know, there is only 2 visualstyle builders out there. Stardock's Skinstudio and TGTsoft's Stylebuilder.
