AIM hack/mod
How do I change the background color/font color of the buddylist window in AIM? I'm using an older versoin 5.2 or something like that

First, you need to downloand this app, called HexEdit.http://www.physics.ohio-state.edu/~prewett/hexedit/ Use that to edit the "buddyui.ocm" file in AIM's folder. Follow the instructions on this site:http://jon8rfc.homeip.net/aim/howto/ ...as they pertain to the version that you're using. I would suggest backing up your file before you edit it. For example: If you were using AIM version 5.2.3255 - 5.2.3277, you would find line 38A8 in the hex editor, and change the six characters there to the hex value of the color you want, such as FF FF FF. Same goes for the text color.

Oh, I was also wondering if there was a way to get rid of the huge indent for buddies under groups. Do you know how to do that?

The indent problem cannot be completely resolved. But tinkering with the away bmp can help. ##

I have gotten rid of the away bmp. should i make a really small bmp? would that help?

search for black aim in deviantart, if you wanna upgrade to 5.5something. It's really great
