How do I change the screen names in the message box to an arrow or something else?

Is it possible to get rid of the scrollbar in the buddy list?

And how do I change the arrow next to the group name in the buddy list?

I am using version 5.5.3598.

you can rid the scroll bar in the buddy list, though i don't remember how i did it.
it was changing a value from 0 to 15, making it hidden.

changing the arrows is not possible to my knowledge.
