windows explorer + my computer problem

i was messing around with the "tools>folder options>file types" (changing icons). I must've accidentally changed the actions for Folder because now both the context menu commands. explore and open, open new windows in either My Computer or Windows Explorer.

Very irritating for me, and I can't seem to find a fix anywhere. Help?

I had this exact problem once. Not 100% sure how I fixed it, but I think you can do it this way.

Open regedit (Start> Run> regedit). Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT>scroll all the way down to Folder (not .Folder). Before doing anything, back it up by going to file>export(highlight the folder, so regedit knows what to export). Delete the subfolders shell, and shellex. Next time you open a folder, I think windows will replace the deleted entries with the windows default ones (you might need to restart first). If windows doesn't like what you did, just double click on the .reg you exported, and it will restore the old stuff you backed up.

Hope that made sense...
