soooo I'm trying to learn more about litestep and im just wondering what is the code for autohiding modules. like is there a readme for it? id rather not just copy peoples code, and actually know how to autohide any module. any direction pointing would be grandd.

www.pages.drexel.edu/~ewm23/ckhotspots.htm , check your module docs folders, you should been able to figured out pretty much everything form those.

yeah thats what i do, but i had no clue where to look for the autohide feature, im trying to get a lsbox of winamp controls to autohide. is that even possible?

xcal says:

Of course. First, ditch lsbox and use xlabel. Then, just hook the winamp controls in to a label, and use the OnEnter/Leave events.

im pretty sure thats what i did. i practically used the code from tilt, changed a few things, locked all the controls into an xlabel and set the hotspots. im still curious where you find explanation for this code however.

oh i do have one more question tho. is there a way to alphamap the box's background and have the controls stay on top? because everytime i make "alphamap true" all the controls disappear.

xcal says:

You can't have hooking with alphamap.

look in \litestep\modules\docs

ambulance, you can make your background image magic pink if you want it totally invisible. and the buttons will sit on top and still slide or animate or whatever.

you can always stick a shadow to the edge (even "dock" it so it follows like its hooked)

hm, sounds interesting. how would you 'dock' it to the lsbox?

another question though. my xtaskbar has a set width for active/inactive buttons and when the text cant fit in the button it puts ellipses. I know you can take button width away, but is there a way where you can keep button width, and not have it put ellipses and just end with the last letter or are the ellipses built into the module to work that way? thanks.

is there a way to make the font caps only, without the font type actually being caps in xtaskbar? like how css you can use text transform; uppercase.

xcal says:

I know it COULD be done... but that feature doesn't seem to exist in xtaskbar.

that would make a good feature for xtaskbar 2.1. xcal: you better get on it!
