hi all im new to this customizing thing, and im sorry if you get post like these every day, but i couldnt figure out how to get the xp visual styles to work. i downloaded the UXtheme.dll patch, backed up my old one then put it in system32. so when i download a theme what do i do next?

stick the visual style in there. i've found it helps to make a folder with the exact name of the vs within the themes folder, and then put the vs in it.
display properties\appearance\windows and buttons
thats where you can change the default theme to any you've downloaded.
hmm the site seems to have deleted all the slashes i put in my post...
it should read:
navigate to your C: drive
windows--resources--themes

yes i did try that but it also did not work. how ever i did find this and it worked like a charm. it was really easy to. i suggest you guys sticky this link
