Its been awhile ... I have notice most of the custo dtops nowadays are iconless, is the a sorta way to change it all or yall reshacked the shell32.dll with blank icons one by one? Just wanna know...
if you wanna remove all shell icons you can modify your registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics just set 'Shell Icon Size' to 0
or use blank icons for 16pix ...but then you'll have some empty space where the icon is supposed to be
mine has icons, but i hide them using the show/hide icons feature on windows...then i use samurize to show the contents of my desktop in text form and also link to it
IconPackager works OK under LiteStep - been using both for years! Trick is to duck back into Explorer, set all the icons up via IP etc, and then jump back into LiteStep. Bit of a chore, but only has to be done when changing themes in a major way. I personally hate icons on the desktop, but like 'em in the file browser.
