so essentially with the custom hacks and icons, could we make an installer or self extractor? so that people could just install it if they didn't (for some reason) know how to use replacer?
I would like to do a wallpaper if possible :) And i can help with mocks and colors and fleshing ideas out but im not so handy in the actual skinning part.
@eragonian - i don't believe that this will be\should be put on a separate site from custo as this is a customize.org suite. i do believe that imrik, motorist and swayso are up there for music and not for css. is there anything else productive you could contribute to the suite?
OK thanks Ego, you didn't put me in there. >_< I could do: cursors, colorpad skins, 3dcc, shellwm, bbstyle(blackbox) themes, firefox themes, and litestep themes.
@Pyro & Frankenstein Marius & lamp are almost done with the CSS, so they will talk sooner with Flyke to do the final details. We will use the color palette in the css for the suite.
About the mobile themes, i will add it when some one volunteer to make one
make sure the themes can be used on W610i ;).. maybe the guys who makes wallpapers can make them in a really small resolution, so we can use the wallpapers on our cells together with the themes
I can do a samegame skin! And maybe a wallpaper pack or two . . . except that there appear to be too many people already. And who knows, maybe release a VS of some kind (again, unless there are too many people already)? Am I permitted to attempt these things?
relik, thats actually a good idea, since you have a smaller resolution than most of us (NOT PICKING ON YOU) it would be the ideal preview space in my opinion.
i suppose i could work on a new typeface only for this project, that would most likely take a little while though :D
when is this project supposed to be done?
other than that once we get to see a first "visual" for the idea of this theme (colour options and what kind of style overall: illustrative, vectorized, modern, postmodern, contemporary) i ll get right on to the job of finding and/or creating a font for this suite, what do you think of that? any idea on when first "visual concepts" are gonna be ready?
actually, assuming the suite won't be done for several weeks, i should have my new video card and everything by then so i'd definitely be able to get a much higher resolution; but if you want me to post a screen with my current resolution, i'd be happy to. :)
yeah... i just think that in this way, it's terrible large... and with spaces it will be the double, but i'll try... just let me know if it isn't too large.
wow. i really need to take a break from work and come here more often. this idea has got such a great response :) what would the responsibility of the WBskinner be. if its just porting the visual styles to WB and ironing out the kinks, you could sign me up for that as i probably wouldn't have enough time to do a complete WB skin on my own.
Since I am in the VS section, I will send it to all that are interested so that they can preview it in there shots and I can get criticisms and comments. While I am working on several ideas for the VS I still need the suite base concept shot sent to me when it is done. I will be patient until then and just work on other ideas.
