anyway, just got my HTC TyTN. pretty happy with it

negative. they're cool looking, but pricy. my samsung u520 is working great tho.

I'm buying as many as possible, assembling them into a roughly human form which will then become my best friend.

I just read it will come to Europe in December and might be sold by Vodaphone only, but i wanted to switch to that anyway. I hope they'll make it able to use umts instead of the slower edge though.

nice, if vodafone will sell it, and if it comes with umts support, then I might think of buying one, since I use vodafone for a long time now and I can't go without umts!

and it isn't even expensive either, should be free with a 2 year contract

Sinome: The only way to order a iPhone is with a Cellular plan. You can't get it otherwise. (In another words, you can't just buy the phone.)

Also, it is rumored that the iPhone won't be unlocked. So getting it without AT&T Wireless (Formerly Cingular.) might not happen.

@rez bit: I heard the commercial version of the DS browser wasn't all that great. Maybe homebrew ones are better.

Apple is also a liar (like I just discovered that), but you know how they say that the iPhone doesn't have a reduced version of the internet? There's no Flash. And almost every site uses Flash now.

Oh, and if someone does get the iPhone, can you test out custo?

Pretty happy with my SE k810i, also, iPhone has (long list incoming):

- no 3g support
- no MMS support whatsoever
- a crappy camera
- no video support
- no a2dp support
- no musicfiles for ringtones
- no thirdparty software

And it's damn expensive too. I mean come on. I was looking forward to the release but this is a major disappointment.

Much of the reason why many are getting hyped by the iphone is because Apple are doing really well with the media to get it sounding great!

Yeah, the Ipod was great but this is a different story .

I'd like to get one but I'm waiting for version 2 to pop out from the womb of apple As people have mentioned before, it doesnt support SMS or MMS so you can't send picture messages, although you can send emails, Cingular''s edge network is super shitty and slow and if your not near a hotspot or wifi your pretty much screwed with that. Version 2 or 3 or 4 might be better.

@scfce: fine, not all, but a lot of sites have Flash...

Anyway, flash is crap on websites. I will probably never visit a flash website!

I played with one this weekend. (my friend got one)

works well, easy to use, does a lot. My friend was entranced by it. We'd get food, and then he wouldn't eat casue he was too busy playing with iphone.

You need iTunes 7.3 to sync it to your computer. You also need a iTunes or a .Mac account to activate it. Wooo, thank "God" for my MBP.

I've got my heart set on on a Miezu M8 or an HTC Touch
