Stop voting 100 for screenshots just because you like the wallpaper... try and look at the other stuff for gods sake.. ive seen a wall paper and a winamp skin get 4 hundreds and they werent even matching all the way.. come on idiots it doesnt take a rocket scientist to notice this stuff.. so just think before you post. so that way the votes may actually mean something
devart removed the ratings on their site. I'm not an admin, but I think there were two main reasons: 1) ppl where irrationally harsh 2) they didn't have a real pupose. 3) ppl often didn't use it (not sure about that one)
I don't use them or see a point to them, the fact that a lot of ppl are giving out 100's is a good thing to me. I go by downloads. If they really like it, they add it to their collection.
I can see how it can be annoying, and you have a good point. Unfortunately, anyone can vote, even ppl who really don't care. Kinda pisses me off too.
I do think it's sad how a user will vote on a piece simply by the way they feel about the creator emotionally. A lot of the time I think users who give their honest opinion on a piece sometimes catch crap by the creator or other users because they way they rated it. If someone gives an honest opinion on a piece and another person bitches about them I think it just shows the immature nature of the nagging person.. face it .. we've all seen people cuss and scream and complain about another user and sometimes the people who are complaining are between 18 and 40, yet they still look 12 years old.
For the [U]most part[/U] what i'm trying to say is i don't think users should be so cynical towards other users ratings/opinions... . after all thats just what they are.... opinions.
