I don't know if this is "custo love letter" related.. but i recently got this email:

Though I know that a transaction of this magnitude will make any one apprehensive and worried, I am assuring you that all will be well at the end of the day.

I have decided to contact you due to the urgency of this transaction, as I have been reliably informed of your discreteness and ability in transaction of this nature. Let me start first by introducing myself properly to you.

I am Mr. Davis Adams, of Dept of Bill and Exchange with Barclays Bank in the United Kingdom . I need your consent to handle this transaction because it entails a large amount of funds ($6.4 Million Dollars) deposited by a deceased customer in our bank who died long time ago but has an open beneficiary mandate on his file though, there has not been anyone from his family to make claim of this funds but I am sure he has no immediate family because I have tried all I could to contact them to no avail.

By far the strangest email i've ever gotten, and since it was from whats apparently a personal email account it slipped through my spam filter. I thought it was so humorous, I replied:

"That's whats up. Send me money"

I've gotten the same email. Very strange.

I can't believe some people believe these things... whoops gotta go. There's a guy in a mask with an axe at the door telling me to claim the money.
