Is there anyway to hide the app icon (the one in the upper left corner, that allows you to move, close etc)? It's only showing up for applications and what not, but I was wondering if there's a way to hide it.

well, i guess it kinda depends on what application you're talking about. with some apps ypu can use reshack to exchange the default icon with a blank one. (if i understood you correctly).
maybe im out of topic, but i can´t make out how to remove similar little icons displayed on bar (next to title) representing window or app on the win xp taskbar...
...i´d like to do this without 3rd party app, but my search in gpedit.msc was not succesfool...please help or force me to further research :)
