I don't know if it's just me but as the months go by, custo has been getting slower and slower and slower and slower. The new upgrade, as "nice" as it is, is slower than the old version of custo.
Hehe, yea, this site is worse than a snail. There's times it has me wanting to bang my head against something, something really hard! But what keeps me comin back are the cool peeps and the quality subs ;)
i hear what your saying munceenuts. sometimes it's just downright painful. for me it's really the worst when i click on the browse tab, and all i see is that damn circle thing going round, and round , aaarrrrgggggh. lol.
I have to agree. This is the slowest Site on the net. Really not kidding!!!! I have a 16Mbit Cable and I´m not on this Site anymore that often, because it is too SLOW!!!!!! A lot of People dont come back here either because of the speed - they told me. If I want to show them my new Wallpaper they get off the Site after a time because they dont want to wait that long and ask me if I can send the wallp. via email. DeviantArt was slow too for a while but they fixed it after a time. In this case (Customize) its getting worse and worse (speed not content which is still great!!!!).
You know guys, I've been with customize for a good several years, and used to come here literally every day to check out new walls. But since the change and the ensuing problems with speed it's not joy anymore. Waiting a 30s to a minute for a browse page to open is not cool.
Most frustrating is that I cannot see much being done to alleviate the problem. I open this page every few months to check out if there's been any improvement, only to find that... it's all the same.
Funnily, I found that I've been looking at deviant much more nowadays, something I never used to do with the old custo.
Moral of the story: we do care, dear admins, so please do something or let us know if you need help!
It was slow before, some months ago. I think it's quite better now. The thing is, when EVO was launched and for at least 3 months after, the speed was very good. At least, to me it was. But guys, you cannot expect that this page so full of neatness and detail loads up as fast as the old php style. It's like, you have to pay the price... =)
Gotta agree with ultradax, wouldn't mind more ads if that would help. Custo is even one of very few sites (if not the only one) I would consider donating money for!
Alright. I tried to upload my new Desktopography wallpapers for one hour now. And not only one worked. DeviantArt needed only 10 minutes to upload and arrange everything.
I have to say i am angry, yeah. This was a real great community in the past and i really had a lot of help from here.
As for me i wish Customize could get the power and innovation it had back then. Because i know it was there!
this is getting ridiculous. I wanted to finally upload a suite I have been working on and I couldn't because it would just hang. I guess it worked out because I ended up changing some things but it is frustrating how slow the servers are, I've pretty much given up on submitting here and even browsing. Such a shame
seriously, what the flip is going on. Everytime i come to the site i have to flippin sign in. whats up with that, anyone else having this problem. It's so annoying.
It's almost like the admins left us and they ain't coming back. I haven't seen any improvements to the site in a while. All these things were said to be "working on" but nothing is happening unless they are secretly working on it.
Can anyone of the admins fix this problem ? I want to leave deviantart cos it`s full of crap and come here , because the content is top quality but when i face this servers problem , i`m going crazy.
I use IE7 and Firefox, sometimes Opera. My computer is one of the fastest available on the market. The result is the same. If it gets any slower it'll be going backwards.
