vs doesn't change 3dcc and fonts

At the moment I'm working on a visual style for the ssc08. Today, after having done the taskbar and applying the vs via stylebuilder the 3dcc and fonts changed back to windows xp standard as well as the sizes of the captionbar and scrollbars. All the images are custom though... I rebooted and tried again but it didn't work at all. Reapplying and also compiling and then applying the vs didn't work either. In stylebuilder it shows everything as it should be (the fonts, 3dcc, etc). The thing is, it just doesn't change them when I apply the vs. I also tried to apply another vs (I used reuben) before applying my ssc08 vs and the funny thing is I now have the 3dcc and fonts of reuben and the images of my ssc08 vs o/. If it wasn't the ssc08 vs I would totally upload it and ask you to try it... but oh well. Hope you can help me anyway...
