I've been using Miranda for a while, and just recently this bug managed to pop up. I'm using Miranda 0.7.7 (latest one) and srmm_mite. What the bug is that whenever I IM someone that I had previously had a conversation with, all the previous things said would all appear, and all new IMs would be at the top, its really annoying, especially when I had a long chat with someone. Anyone have any clues? I've uninstalled miranda, reinstalled miranda, tried using one of the other 2 srmm_mite plugins available, the original srmm.dll, everything. Is there any way to completely erase all my miranda data? Cause everytime I reinstall, it seems to remember all my settings so I think that may be the problem..
Yeah, I'll say "Hey" or whatever, then immediately the whole previous conversation will show up, with the newest things on the top. Sometimes, Miranda freezes because of this and crashes :\
Have you tried to repair your database? There's an app called dbtool.exe in your Mirandafolder. All the settings are in that database. Normaly you find it in the main Mirandafolder or in C:/Documents and settings/username/Application Data/Miranda. dbtool can make a backup before repairing.
EDIT: Well, it only happened with one contact that the conversation bug annoyed me, so I deleted him, then re-added and it seems to be working now! Thanks for all the suggestions though guys, you are too helpful :)
Every time i re-install Miranda, the modern clist won't work, even though i've tried a couple different versions of it. Does anyone know why this is so hard? Do i need any additional plugins? The problem is it won't show up in the miranda plugins list at all, so i cant enable it.
