Are you sure you are using the correct Multi-Patcher version for your XP version. If you are on SP3 you might need a newer one. All in all it is better to download a hacked uxtheme.dll for your Windows version somewhere and replace the original with Replacer.

It could also be that you forgot to reboot.

I am using UXTheme Multi-Patcher (Neowin Edition) 4.0 and I have Windows XP SP2... and I am also new to windows... Thank you for your help.

Ah, yes, you can't replace a system dll when the original installation disk or files are in your computer.

just follow the "How to use this file:"-instructions.

and install it

and drag and drop the theme you want into styler and it'll apply the skin for you. Its not as good as patching your system, but its somewhat simpler to use.
