Yes, I believe it is ... but it seems like the people who usually organize these things aren't around anymore (naalo, akka, mini, those guys). :-\ So I don't know how we would organize this. But I suppose *we* could try!
I think all the regulars have bailed on this place. I just wish there were more mods to clean this place up. It's gone to pot unfotunately. But it would be nice to have a SSC again. :)
Since the regulars who went here until this last year are still on DA, why don't we just write in our journals on DA and get some opinions? Also, posting a question about it at gsm and #nuance (I don't remember how to get back on there) might be a good idea because those guys know their shit We can still "flesh this out" and get input. Then we could set up the rules, and make the due date something in early to mid May (since I know I'm not the only one that needs an excuse to procrastinate my studying :-D). I think last year's due date was something like late April, but it got pushed back until early May.
My suggestion would be to pitch the idea @ gypsyspacemuffin.com. That's where we ultimately got things going last year when this site proved to be unworthy of hosting a contest/regularly accepting uploads. You'll hit a lot of the old custo regulars over there.
Mini hosted the contest on voidbox last year and it worked out great.
I'm not sure, but I think the word 'pixelfuckers' may end up being a part of this years contest. Ask about that @ GSM too.
