I cannot use the themes and i don't know why.. I extracted them and when i browse them to use on my xp.. i cannot find that file!!! i just don know why or i skipped some steps?!!! HELP HELP HELP PLEASE HELP!!
actually, i have a similar problem. I've patched the uxtheme.dll file, but i still can't use the areao4 theme. i unzipped the rar and it seems like I'm missing a .theme file? any help would be greatly appreciated.
ok, what you need to do is get a patched uxtheme.dll file. you can google something like "service pack 3 patched uxtheme.dll" and you should find it quickly enough. next, you need to download a little application called "replacer". this program effectively lets you swap the old uxtheme.dll which doesnt let you use custom themes with the patched version you downloaded. follow the instructions in the replacer window. after that, move the skin files you extracted to: DRIVE>Windows>Resources. Make sure that the folder you are dragging to this location has the same name as the windows style file inside. When done, double click the style file to run.
i wonder y whenever i install a theme, it just appears like an ordinary classic style? im using winxp, n im expecting it to appear exactly similiar to the screenshot posted by author.. NOT just a pimped-out-classic theme. if so.. i also can do it myself without having to download from other source. actually i've downloaded a theme quite a few times but it seems doesn't work out.. i love pink theme so much, and really want it to be applied on my pc.. Can anyone help me to apply it or gv any suggestion where can i get this pinky stuff? Any source?
omg i am finding this so confusing i have just tryed to download the windows seven theme but once it it appears in the downloads window (MOZILLA FIREFOX) when i try to open it it says that it canot find the right program to open it , help will be appreciated
