I know I am always asking questions here, but how else am I going to learn? Where can I download some texture files for Photoshop 6? Everytime I try and use the function, it opens the file selections screen, and its empty. The other question I had is how does one make sure that the wallpaper size is the standard resolution, such as the ones seen on this site. Let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thanks again for all the help.
and about the textures: lets say you find a pic that you like..or make your own.take a picture..like wood or metal or something. open it and select the entire picture ..ctrl a i think and then copy it (ctrl c) ok then go to edit and define pattern there you go.. your texture is in the list and then go crazy with it.

Someone probably just thought that a 5:4 ratio would be nice.
From http://www.lmn.pub.ro/~byte/vidfaq/part1.html: Keep in mind that the aspect ratio can be important. Standard televisions and computer monitors are designed to work with a 4:3 aspect ratio. If you use a 5:4 aspect ratio on a monitor with a 4:3, your screen image will be compressed vertically, making circles appear as ellipses. The error associated with using a pixel addressability aspect ratio of 5:4 with a monitor os 4:3 is about 6%.
