no i meant like, changing the color and saving it as an icon file.. or even being able to open ".ico" files

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO EDIT ICON FILES!?

there is a plugin for Photoshop so you can open/save .ico's. I don't have the url, but do a search for it...

yea i use microangelo, or sumtimes visual studio

I use Microangelo http://www.impactsoft.com/ for the majority of my work, but if you want to do icon colour tinting and colour alterations get Icon Collector Graphics Editor http://www.greatowl.com/ it's got some handy features that Microangelo doesn't have.
