anyone know the show invader zim? its without a doubt one of the best cartoons ever made, on the same level as spongebob and better than dexter's lab.
here's what i know about it:
its on nickelodeon, but since zim is a really dark cartoon, nickelodeon has decided to cancel it. they only play it once on the weekends now, and its soon to be gone altogether.
here's the rumors i've heard:
they won't sell it to cartoon network because they know cartoon network would market the show correctly and make very large profits. there's a VERY big online petition against the cancellation of the show but nickelodeon refuses to accept its validity (even though 20,000 people have signed it). you can't buy the episodes either- nickelodeon won't sell them, even though theyre making very good business from invader zim merchandise being sold through hot topic.
does anyone know if the rumors are true?
MTV owns nickelodeon. i dunno why the hell they won't play zim on MTV.
also, if youve never seen the show then i highly reccomend you try to watch it/download the episodes.

invader zim is great its along the same lines of mtv/nickelodeon cartoons that got cancleld such as undergrads,daria,rocko's modern life they have huge folowings yet they cancle them anyways because of subject matter or its considored to offensiv. cartoon network is very interested in buying invader zim but nickelodeon will not sell it this is true.. but i don't know the real reason why. i do think that maybe zim will be back eventually *just like they new episoads of ren and stimpy i have seen recently on teletoon *canadian cartoon network* but nickelodeon sells after the cartoon dies out i guess

from what i have heard and seen on the internet, most of the stuff already posted is right and such, only on the pettition, early on, said that nick was going to make only 6 or 7 new episodes for this year or seomthing. now those episodes are already made and such, and now the show is just dying. however, zim merchandise is still being made. what's with that?! yay! i am filled with warm and blubbery joy to see that there is at least a small group of invader zim followers here at custo.
anyone have a fave episode? i loved the halloween episode... also the episode where the school nurse was doing physical exams, and dib told zim that they would find out he was an alien because his organs were different, so zim started taking organs from all the school kids and eating them. sickand hilarious.

what was the name of the cartoon mtv ran, not aoen flux tho that was good too, but before that, something about weird trip thinking . . . all i remember is little girl's voice saying "i am the deepest manifestation of your conciousness"
Invader Zin is genious, and I feel sorry for those who will go their lives without experiencing it :) The MAXX was great (actually I have the first comic he appeared in in a box somewhere). Transformers was genious. PP Girls is pretty alright too. Spongebob is ok; it just doesn't have those little sparks of genious you get in some other "appeals to adults too" cartoons. Here's a big thumbs up to cartoons that rock.
