"nah, fuck that, i got a big lightbulb that goes on for 1 and off for zero. you type pushing a button" it would take about 45 minutes to login. Then you have to tap tap tap to mount up the drives, write a checkmail on the fly.........several years later you've manage to decipher the flashing of the bulb into text on paper and read one email message. Sounds like a lifestyle. Digging it, digging it.

Omg lot of people are using 1280x1024 1280x1024 IS A STUPID RESOLUTION!!!! It's not 4:3 like your monitor is, but 5:4 which will cause weird photo's. My resolution is 1280x960 (4:3) @ 85Hz on a 17" screen. Max. is 1600x1200 @ 75 Hz, but my nVidia card has got real bad 2D at that resolution..

Thank you dirk! I tried to make this point last time the "what res do you use?" thread appeared, but people just ignored me. I use 1280x960 on a 17" too.

640x480 ....this textbox takes up whole window. heh...nah, 1280x1024 and I dont find nothin wrong with it.
02:43 pm (7 years ago )
uh... actually your resoultion shouldn't matter on how photos look. a smaller resoultion has larger blocks of pixles, so pictures look worse. 1280x1024 [Okay, how do I know you're wrong if you're just guessing?] [NTO GODO!1]

dogbert, they're talking about the ratio. i use 1280×1024, that's as high as this screen goes. i know the ratio gets fucked up, but i make up for it by using screen settings to squeeze the screen image horizontally. this way i get the correct ratio, at a slightly smaller screen size with higher resolution. ehrm... yeah, that makes sense =P
