i agree with him. somehow i dont think that everyone loves them as much as you all think they do, since each one gets three comments at best, and no one really has anything to say when they comment. and it pisses me off when an actual skin gets posted and is off the front page in three hours because of all the stupidass screenshots that bump it off. its not even original work - its so that people who dont do any skins or wallpapers can submit too. (i know, i know. there are some people who do the screenshots justice. but the ones worth seeing are beyond rare anyway)

well...i dont think ive ever had a screenshot that only got 3 comments (not being cocky or anything, just trying to prove a point). Sometimes i get around 20, but usually around 12. As for screenshots bumping a "decent" skin off...that's ridiculous, set your front page limit to 20, and you'll have work from over 40 hours ago.

Wow, this is pathetic. Idiotic screenshots take up 90% of the room on the new submissions board. A screenshot in my view is the most uninspiring, unmotivated, and disappointing thing about this site. Make a new section that is off and away from the front page, or some kind of customized window etc. Oh and switched, My front page setting is maxed out, and the screen is still glutted with boring screenshots that I have to wade through to get to REAL work. No one cares how many comments you get on your screenshots, the point is they are worthless to the majority of the customizers who frequent this site.
PS. Is it some kind of hip trend to end your post with the end of the previous post? That really builds arguement and gives you leverage huh? Wow there are so many halfwits that own Photoshop and Bryce online it's really scary.
uh sport... i dont really see any work from you...at all... all i see from your profile is just a bunch of little smart ass comments. i do agree that ss take up a grip of room, but screenshots are what make this site "customize.org" people sharing thier desktops with others.. other asking questions and getting help from those others... i cant tell you how many people from custo IM me and ask for help.. somewhere in a mid 20's (not trying to brag)
seriously.. best way to learn is to learn from others within the community, screenshots are just that "happy medium"...

realistically tho, i guess there isnt much reason to complain. if they're working on the site at all, i'm sure theyre working on separating the screenshots, and either way, its not like there arent any other sites to go to. so i semi - retract my bitching. not entirely, but partly :)

where i am now started with submitting screenshots. im happy. and i really dont see why some people cant ignore them if they dont like em. but i havent added anything to this so im just goign to hide in a corner.
hmm..in light of all this..I agree with sticboy...in that we do need a screenshot admin..and because customize.org should be a place to show off your brand new CUSTOMIZED dt, ask for suggestions, help, etc, maybe there should be a "featured customization" or somethin like that just for screen shots which are VERY good. Other screen shots could be placed somewhere else..maybe a gallery of some sort.
we dont need an admin for everything guys.. there are more than enough admins already.. of which I only see half of them on occasion. So no, there is no need for a ss admin its just ridiculous.

You missed the point, can we stop with all the crappy screen shots of shit that are so hideous i almost puke when I see them? I dont mind when people who know what there doing post screens because there fun to look at and gather ideas from, but the people who think that changing the wall paper is customization and post there screen just ends up bumping the real art off the top.. Perhaps maybe a new list at the top with only ratings 80+ at the top that'll update everytime a rater gives a screen an 80+ or whatever? Just and idea..
