hmm a backslash got left out of there somehow... there should be a backslash after windows and before rundll.exe..... for example:

c:\windows\rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindows

the message board won't show backslashes... so just put them after c: and after windows....

C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe pust slashes after C: and after WINDOWS and afer system32.... the only problem is that i cant get it to work though....so yeah if anybody could figure it out for xp post it up.. cuz im currentlyusing this method for the shotdown buttons ... http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,455,00.asp but i dont like it because it brings up a pop up screen that counts down the time.... and i have to physically press the shutdown button on my comp

ad0nai says:

yeah, in XP it's

C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 0

I believe the following switches are correct, I know the first two are.

-s = shutdown, -t timer followed by seconds -r = restart, -l logoff
