anyone up for some music trivia? i've got two questions for ya.
1. in "trip like i do", the opening song on crystal method's cd "vegas", there's a sample of some guy talking. he's saying lines from a movie. what movie are the lines from?
2. after the beatles croke up, paul mccartney formed the group "wings" with a friend of his. this friend was part of the original line-up of another hugely successful british prog rock group. what was his name and what band did he come from?

at the end of the music video to 'just', what does the guy freakin says???
rumors have it no one but the band knows..but if anyone can read lips...or heard from a friend...WHAT IS SAID?! (btw, i dont know the answer..just thought it was appropriate to put it in this thread) --------------------------- (__SERAPH___))> the crayon
3) I think you're looking for 'The Log' or 'The Broadcaster' , but there were a number of solid body electric guitars pre-WWII, and if we're counting acoustic electrics, we're talking early 1920's... you need to be more specific. =)
4) Mark David Chapman, assassins always have three names.
1) i meant the full name, which was lester william polfus if i recall.
2) 1952, the goldtop les paul with twin P90 single coil pickups and les paul's own designed bridge thingamajig, plus a neck like a baseball bat
3) the broadcaster (1942 or 44, better known as the telecaster) was the first solid body, but i was asking for electric guitar at all, which was the frying pan, as they called it, of 1928. quite a funny little bastard of a guitar.
4) status is correct on that one. props.
5) ditto samurai-hamster
