And sadly enough, what we thought was an excellent user (and a new user to our community who was kicking ass), has succomb to ripping artwork.
After evaluating his website, we have found numerous accounts where he has stolen artwork from users (such as Whody and Get Carter). Therefore, his artwork has been removed from this website.
Please, do not rip. Sooner or later, your going to be caught doing it.

felon,.. it's not so much my work that's been ripped that pisses me off. . ... it's the fact he ripped various wallpapers from this site and put a copyright on them and claimed they were developed by him.

I see everyones point. He called the work his own. But I bet 99.9% of you have violated copyright laws too. Tell me how many of you havent downloaded mp3's?
Yeah kewlpyro ok but mp3s are much more diffrent concept than this one , actions are already being taken against all the mp3 servers (i.e. Audiogalaxy , Napster and even now KaZaA) but mp3s are inevitable because everyone has them if you manage to stop one group another will start , and it's up to the bands to declare their rights , if they are ok with it then fine go and download , look how metallica protested against napster and now it's closed. But ripping an artwork is entirely diffrent because you actually take someone else's hardwork and declare it as your own , as if you did the whole thing and you don't even give credit to the artist who put so much work in his art ( I believe most kickass wallpapers here take at least a couple of days ) , but with mp3s you actually don't declare the song as yours, you just download it , and mp3s are legal if you delete them 24 hours after downloading them , the rest is up to you. And I can also see that this pea-brained idiot has the audacity to post at customize , the very community where he ripped all the other wallpapers, how dumb can a guy be ? Anyway this is very depressing .. I wish his computer would just blow up now :)
well im not on the guys side, but when it comes to his new splash being similar to sticboys i dont think its that big of a deal as with the wallpapers, i mean maybe he was inspired by sticboys its not a total copy so its not that bad but its obvious that he took sticboys idea, its like a car u cant sue everyone that makes a car i mean the idea is the same but there all a bit different...?
thank you guys for tracking him down and noting me! Unfortunalty the site is down, so I can´t say for which purpose he used the rips - commercial? Note me if you know more - I ´ll finish him off, he took my face!
First I should apologise for Whody and Get Carter and tell them their artwork has never used form commercial use or any kind of selling trying to make money on your behalf. Therefore what I did in my opinion was wrong and I admit and I’m truly sorry! I didn’t know was all this confusion.
But therefore when they say I ripped sticboy artwork I stop and realise! Hey just a sec. Now you guys are having a go on me! I think you should say he influenced me but I didn’t copy! I like it the style and try it to do it something similar. But anyway I just you guys to know that never was my idea to still your work or even the intention to sell But when I mention that on the copyright thing is because some of the artworks the I did just all by my self! And I at least should put that copyright on my images only! Again I was wrong! Also on those random splashes on the front page like Whody images. Hey don’t take it personally but those images are just in a display but I never claim those ones to be mine!
I hope you guys forgive me for the whole mess and I said again I do apologise for the inconvenience I make.
He apologized, let it die out now.. it would cost you guys too much money to take him to court for something that none of you is making money on including him. Its bad that he took the stuff and called it his own and rightfully so, we ripped him a new one, so lets all call it a truce.
Warkosh, next time you should ask the artist for permission before using thier work. Seeing the quality of stuff that you produced by updating thier work, I am pretty sure that some would be happy to do a collab with you. You can also download a lot of stock photos from various sites to use for your work which I might add is quality stuff.
