it says the service cannot be reached... is this widespread, and if isn't - what can i do?

Uninstall it :p
I aint getting any problem, does it work if you try it on a diffrent computer (with diffrent ip and all that)

that happens to me sometimes, you just gotta give it a while and it will work again later

the problem is that the internet service is down, yes it is widespread. that has happend to me and i called aim..they said just wait till they fix it.
