Thank goodness I don't have dandruff...eww gross! But yeah, I wash my hair first with VO5 pear anti-itch / softing shampoo, followed by Porosity Control conditioner, then once its all dry, I put this ultra-fine hair moisturizer in and comb it straight. Works like a charm.
I only use (ordinary) shampoo/conditioner on my hair when it needs it so I don't either strip all the oil or leave to much, meaning I don't get dandruff. That's roughly once every 2 days for shampoo and about once a week for conditioner. Don't stick to a routine though, judge what to use by how it feels when you've wet it.

i need help, i've tried head and shoulders, t-gel, selsun blue, and now im on dextatrim(or what ever...) Im running out of choices... This dexatrim stuff has been the best, but leaves my hair stick... Plus, just like the others, my hair "grows immune" or something and the flakes come back after about a month of using it.... grrrrr...

I always try to solve things without resorting to artificial intervention, so I'd say before you try more chemicals make sure you've tried these: Only wash your hair every 2-3 days with shampoo for a few weeks, any more and you're messing up the natural processes of your hair and skin. And make sure you're eating plenty of things like fish that have good oils in them so your hair and skin will be in better condition. Finally try brushing your hair plenty before, or even whilst having a shower to get rid of the dead skin while you're washing it.
I've had a dandruff condition ever since I've been old enough to care about the wellbeing of my hair. Just a while ago, I decided to try Head & Shoulders for the first time (I used Salsun Blue 5 until then), and after a couple of washings over a short period it seems to have gone away completely.
The real test came during the past week, I hadn't washed my hair for the whole week and there was still no signs of any flakes. I was stunned. Usually they would appear after couple of days, especially if I've been giving my body a work out.
Oh boys you´re all just great. Talking about dandruff at a custo site.... JUST GREAT. Hmn i have the same Problem but the only thing i take is Garniers Fructis for Dandruffs.... if i use it every second day for my hairs there will be no flake. But ... as ekzibit said. some days without washing my hair and i am waiting for them .. but i think thats normal when THEY come back? So .. just wash your hairs.... :P
i use whatever says shampoo on it.. somedays it's my sister's herbal essence, some days it's mane/tail horse or patene proV.. but dandruff?? ;p sick.. never really had a problem with that...
Doesn't that make your hair curly? Well, it makes my hair curly and white... I tried using bar soap once..my hair looked like Justin Timberlake's when he had that curly fro ;)
Yeah, actually I liked it- except for the white part...in fact I think I'll do it tomorrow...i got about a half inch fro and its not lookin that nice...so I'll curl it up or something.
No dude! I don't, I was blessed with pretty skin :p Alright this is totally sick but this girl in my art class last year said that she read that your first urine in the morning (the one that's the most yellow filled with nutrients) is like heaven for pores on your face...supposedly it gives you that 'celebrity' look and feel..AND it evens out skin tone too cause its acitic, but dang man I don't know anybody who would try that.
I use the heavy duty Head and Shoulders that's basically prescription strength w/out the prescription. Ah yes, Intensive Treatment Shampoo. It works wonders. I used to have it appear to be a snowfall when I would run my hands thru my hair.
Somewhere I have heard this before In a dream my memory has stored As a defense I'm neutered and spayed What the hell am I trying to say
wash my hair whenever it feels like it needs it. use down unders "naturals" because it says it biodegrates and isn't tested on animals and such. and i support that. my hair feels soft but i think thats because i was born with fine hair as is. i had dandruf for a while when i used gel.hair glue.stuff when i stoped it went away.

i found that if you take denorex shampoo and a fine tooth comb while it's in the hair and then repeat it makes a world of difference... Plus if u keep the washing down to 2-3 days of the dandruff shampoo and in the time being use reg. shampoo. Oh, and a really good conditioner doesn't hurt matters either.
The only time I can remember having dandruff was just recently when I was away from home and not getting proper nutrition or getting to wash my hair much. Other than that I've had no problem, except for a kinda "cradle cap" type thing a few years ago but that didn't really cause dandruff and it was a one-off weird thing.
