I had this conversation with some people in the irc earlier this month, but I forgot what the stuff I was told to try out so I'll just start a thread. What shaving equipment do you guys use, and then which equipment do you think is best?
I myself use a mach 3 and gilette shaving cream with no aftershave.

lol strange thread to start but anyway... Gelette Mach 3 here aswell with Gilette shaving gel (much better than the foam) and instead of aftershave I slap on Valderma cream to avoid rashes and spots. Stings like bitch still tho :-/

I'm a fan of the Gilette Mach 3 Turbo (with the aloe strip) and Nivea for Men Shave Gel.
Afterwards, I use Nivea for Men After Shave Balm...really cools down the face.
Also, a bit of advice I picked up a while back, always shave immediately AFTER a shower because the heat from the shower loosens your skin, opens your pores, and makes the hair stand more straight on your face for a closer shave with less opportunity of cuts.
And remember: razor burn is just that, a BURN. Rinse your face with cool (not cold) water immediately after shaving before putting on your after-shave balm to reduce razor burn.
I used to get HORRIBLE razor burn on my neck especially, but using these techniques and products, I do fine. :)
darksheer, Nivea for Men Shave Gel is my shit...that stuff works so good, unless your an idiot like me whos almost done shaving the other day and rips open his chin because he sneezes
ahhaha, all of you suck. straight razor, lather, and a shot of whiskey. that's how you start the day off right. none of this pussy-assed nonsense about electric razors and 1000 different kinds of gels. besides, the best aftershave is Isopro: 7 parts isopropyl alochol and 3 parts water.
no sig here. they're bad for your health, acc. to the surgeon general.
Mach 3, King of Shaves shaving oil, no aftershave because I shave in the shower so the constant water helps. Oh and no mirror, I found when it kept steaming up that I didn't really need it.
Some Electric shaver from Wal*mart on me face and mach 3 and shaving gel on me neck because the electric shaver give me neck shaver burn and stays red for days.
I used to use an electric, which made it easy and quick to shave, but the blades need to be replaced and they are like $30 and Im broke. So for now I've got a mach 3 and i use nivea shaving gel. I've found that a razor usually gives me a smoother better shave, but it takes a lot more time.
Wax kit for by 'kini line, or if in a rush to get it smooth, the men's line at The Body Shop.
Gillette animal tests so I avoid their products like the plague.
Otherwise their products are sweet....
As a woman, I'd have to say that even though we have more to shave to keep you men happy, the products made for us sucks arse. So I use the men's stuff whenever possible. Granted, my fiancee gets really ticked when he catches me stealing his shaving cream... but as I do the shopping anyway, lol ;)

same here, i only grow a mustache. but yeah, i put some warm water on it for a few minutes, wash it with some ivory soap, and then put some shea butter (oh yeah) mixed with the ivory soap on the mustache, shave, rinse, and it doesn't burn. But on arms, yeah, a disposable razor will do the trick with some soap..
i havent shaved for 2 months now, and it is beggining to show, in the form of grizzlyness. but when i do i use those disposable bic shaving thingers. but for trimming the eletric is a must
