Nopers. I'm having the same problem. Win XP wont even let me customize much anymore. Well, at least the proper software hasnt been made yet. I'm running on Win Xp right now, and imma go reboot and switch to win me, because frankly, no matter what I do, it still does feel like the ms DEFAULT. I mean, all you can basically do is change the wallpaper and the icons. WOW! Such customization.
Also psykiv: you can still do the same customization to windows you always good via color schemes and whatnot. All they did was move it, not remove it. Just hit the "advanced" button under the appearance tab in the display properties.
Oh, and by the way, aside from the fact that you can indeed customize WindowsXP you really shouldn't switch back to WindowsMe of all things. XP is built on the Win2k core which by all acounts is 1000x more reliable and powerfull than the Win9x core Me is built on.
there aren't any yet other than those included in 2600...once it goes public no doubt there will be. windowblinds xp is the best we can do for now, any windowblinds theme will work in xp

I am racking my brain here. Does anyone know how I can change the Desktop icon font color in WinXP? I went to the advanced appearance settings and picked Icon, but the color part for the font is grayed out. The color is stuck at white and its rough to read on extremely light colored wallpapers like kultdesign spacetraveling.
It's kinda funky. The icon text color will change from black to white depending on what color you have your background set at. If you want the icon text color to change to black just change your desktop background color to something light (white makes the most sense). Obviously Windows can't figure out the color based on your wallpaper or anything. I would imagine that after release either someone will figure out how to change the text color to anything you want of Microsoft will release an update of some sort that allows you to do it.
