All this HYPE. Wow . . . . just hope you don't all suffer from a major letdown, once you realize that this sequel is gonna go the way of most sequels, like Home Alone 2, Leonard part 6 part 8, Blair Witch Project 2, etc., etc.
I'll wait till vidoe, I'm just curious to see what everoyne will say the day after :-)
Enjoy. AND . . . .bring a girl, cuz if it's bad/boring, there'll be something else to do :-)
LTD lets compare the bad sequels to the good sequels... Just because there were SOME bad sequels.. doesnt mean this one will be one of them. I got my tickets last week for tomm. night's show. I cant wait. I dont see any way the movie could be bad. Its got a good cast, good plot, good action, and got the money for the budget... Its going to be very good.

Im beginning, no wait...i ALWAYS thought that mojomonkee had a very tiny brain, i guess this confirms it haha. Not a single post i've ever seen on this site, is mojo going with the flow, or agreeing with the topic of the thread, no matter "what" it is, he's opposite.
Yes, sequels suck, but if anyone here had some common sense and a little bit of reading power, you'd know about the time, technology, and acting power that went into Matrix Reloaded , if you've watched Animatrix, saw Dreamcatcher you'll realize it's a big deal, just like the first one was, and the sequel will be awesome.
Sometimes it's better just to see a movie to SEE IT, stop usin your hollow heads and just WATCH the movie, and dont think like 50 layers into the story line, it's just a friggen movie! Come on, did "anyone" actually ENJOY Britney Spears' movie? IT SUCKED! But i'll be damned if it wasn't worth my $8 to see Britney 10 or 12 feet tall :-D
Matrix Reloaded will rock. Catch the 100mb full size trailer on www.thematrix.com or whatisthematrix.com, have fun at the movies! I'm headin out now for the show!

I'm just making a prediction. My main interest will be to see what all of YOU will think.
I cuold be wrong, of course, but uh . . . . I'll wait for the fallout.
Anyway, to whoever will go see it: ENJOY IT! Buy popcorn, have them throw some butter on it, but not too much. If you want a real treat and don't mind indulging a bit, then have them LAYER the butter . . . in this case, no need for pop to put sugar on top of fat, so spring for a bottle of water instead. Have fun, people :-)
honestly, i'm going to wait a few weeks to go see matrix reloaded... yesh, and i'm going to get a huge bucket of popcorn and lemonade. hmm actually, i'm looking forward to that more than seeing the movie :D
"...or even better: they could invent a shirt that cures stomach cramps!"
Why does it seem to be fashionable now to slate any movie that comes out? What happened to the good old days of watching things like Robocop just because it was entertaining and not to go "oh yeah the acting sucked and the effects were shite..." pretending to be all superior?
I'm not talking in particular about this thread, it's just a trend I've noticed recently.
Anyway us poor brits have to wait for the 21st as a release date, but I'm waiting at least a few days after to avoid the crowds too.
- MooseSkin Wenn das Leben Ihnen Zitronen gibt, brennen Sie sie
mojo, so do I, i dont give a shit about the flashy lights. I look at UT2k3 and recent shots of Doom3 and I shrug my shoulders, nothing impresses me easily. The story line, and the "TECHNOLOGY" (not WHAT it turned out to be, but HOW they did it) is what intrigues me. Anyway, I saw it already, im a fuckin picky ass bastard and I critique the shit outta movies, and it fuckin rocked. Great story, Great Visuals nontheless, and the threequel will be good I hope.
: Nothing's better than takin a dump and checkin out some uber hardware...well...hacking into microsoft while dropping off the Cosby's might be better :
Oh yeah and to add, MooseSkin i 100% agree, those days were great, enjoying a movie just because it was fun, and not thinking so damn much into the film, unfortunately, those people with a low IQ tend to "Try" and sound superior by bashing the movies before they even see them. Oh well, life goes on I suppose.

the critics said that "Spider-Man" was going to be crap, and i believe that it made it to blockbuster status ($200,000,000 or more during the whole theatre run, i believe)...
Matrix Reloaded is going to be fricken awsome I see about 1-10 movies a year in the theatre, and I can say even before I have seen the movie that this is going to be worth my 10$,all who judge it being bad before it comes out should go home and hang themselves, just kidding, but its gonna be amazing
colossus, how many damn tickets did you have? Their like $8/each here, how much do they cost you? and why would he be stupid enough to pay $50 lol, that's like (by my price) 6 tickets, although it was opening night tonight, and the theater was packed, it was by no means sold out they said, they had 3 screens playing in the theater.
: Nothing's better than takin a dump and checkin out some uber hardware...well...hacking into microsoft while dropping off the Cosby's might be better :
still wouldnt pay $50 for sold out tickets, that's just moronic. It's called wait one more day and see it then der. Hey mojo, I see your true moronic side came out, great job!
To all those "intelligent" people, it truly was amazing huh?
: Nothing's better than takin a dump and checkin out some uber hardware...well...hacking into microsoft while dropping off the Cosby's might be better :
i say 50 bucks was a great deal... for cfflothsuths. now he could probably use that money to not only go see the movie later on w/ his gf or something, but w/ his friends too, and have a great time :)

(Refers back to mojomonkees post in a different thread) "Wow, ridgeburner is a liar"
Hmm, so it's okay for you to bash me when you don't know me or anything about me? I see how this works, you can dish it but can't take it, am I right? I suppose so.
hahamaster2000, I never once said Mojo wasn't entitled to his opinion, but it's the way he presents it like a 5 year old that pisses me off.
Colossus, yeah I understand $50 aint a lot of money, but, just seems like a far cry from the $8 it originally costs. Eh I dunno, $42 can buy you alot , hell that's 10 packs of smokes :-D Or if you buy them online, that's almost 30 packs :) Nontheless, even though you did collect money for it, I think it was cool that you gave the ticket to him, his kid probably loved it. It's people like you that make the world go around ;) Great job.
: Nothing's better than takin a dump and checkin out some uber hardware...well...hacking into microsoft while dropping off the Cosby's might be better :
i didn't bash you in that thread, i called you a liar because that's what the facts are. i mean, it's debatable (at least i think so) whether or not i'm a moron, but the fact that you stated you have a dvd screener of the matrix (and have had it for over a week) is a blatant and outright lie.
there is no dvd screener released yet on the internet and i sincerely doubt (99.99 percent sure) that you didn't get a hardcopy of the screener that doesn't exist. the only copies of reloaded that exist to be downloaded are telesyncs that are captured in the theatre and they have only been out for two or three days.
Well mojo, u must be a bigger moron than I thought. No one believed me when I had said that I had XP Pro in August the year it came out, but I can proof that beyond a shadow of a doubt. I cant help it your naive, that's not my problem. I really doubt if you or anyone believes me, I was just stating a fact, I have it and you dont. I've had it for a while, and thats the blatant truth, i have no reason to lie to anyone here, nobody means anything to me, just acquaintences, that's all.
: Nothing's better than takin a dump and checkin out some uber hardware...well...hacking into microsoft while dropping off the Cosby's might be better :
FakeAccount, exactly my point. If I have it, good for me, if I dont, who the hell cares? Is it THAT important that you guys "try" and piss on me to make me look like a liar? If it is, then I suggest everyone grabs a nice big cup of "life".
And lastly, before i quit coming to this thread, I will admit one thing. I said in my first post on this thread, I had it a week and a half before the movie, THAT was an exxageration, and for that mistake I apologize. The movie was released yesterday, the 14th, and I had it on the 9th around 11:30pm goin on the 10th. So it was more or less 5 days or so, nontheless.

The movie is all over mIRC, if you even remotely know how to use IRC you will be able to find it.... but I am not allowed to state illegal matters, so I just say that IRC IS A CHAT PROGRAM, but people there know all... and if its out in the theatres/stores it is 99% chance out on IRC... but I am not telling you exactly how to get it... cause thats illegal...
I don't really understand how you can say that a movie that divided cinema in before and after can say that this moive is bad. That only shows that you never really saw the moive and tried to understand it.
I can only tell you that I analized this movie from begining to end, every scene, and I can tell you is one of the most complex and well directed movie I've ever seen.
even if you did think the Matrix was crap. you have to acknowledge that it revolutionized the action cinema genre by the technology that was involved in the movie. hundreds of parodies, thousands of fansites, the "matrix effect"; the matrix is already a common household word. A movie of that impact has to have some merit.
my opinon of the matrix: -action scenes, the computer graphics, especially directing are all top notch. -story is average-a bit above average. its a story any scifi author can cook up easily. the idea of existentialist world has been around for centuries. -acting. good enough for an action film. -pacing. great balance between dialogue and action. -as Anetalaya said, there are actually a lot of little details added to the movies that may not be so clear on first viewing. -I dunno about complex. the story follows a very standard hero type story. But thats also what I liked about it, they didn't try to make the movie into anything, they just perfected the traditional hero genre.
just stop this thread.. don't you people see. the people that say it sucks are just saying that to get attention.. and i don't know who those people are cuz i havn't read this thread, but people do this all over the internet just to get attention.
just go out to the theater and see it, and then wait for the dvd to come out. sure, the story isnt the best one out there, but its still decent... and the action scenes are damned well worth the money.
tha matrix was a great movie!Every single fight scene my mouth dropped to the floor.THe effects were awesome..and the story line was still great..cant wait for the third one!
er......i liked the first matrix but reloaded put me to sleep. literally, i slept through a half hour of it without missing much. there were a few good points in the plot -- i thought the keymaker was a good character, the architect was interesting. but all the cg animation completely ruined it in my opinion. who wants to see that stuff done with a computer. the highway was a neat action sequence. the ending seemed to me a rehash of the first movie -- neo heard what he had to hear to act in the way that he did and fate will play itself out (in the 3rd movie of course). i think the philosophical point that everything happens for a reason and everything has its place was well made, but there was so much useless stuff that got in its way.
all in all -- i say the "special effects" were quite lacking (there's nothing special about computer generated action). i really thought the movie was going to have no plot whatsoever going in, but it had a little more than i thought it would.
what i liked about the first movie was that it had this perfect blend of philosophy for the people that like to thing, and eyecandy action for the people that don't. the second one didn't really do either aspect justice.
not to mention, neo flying like superman is just stupid.
bsting i completely agree with you. no one else seems to see it that way i've found though.
This movie just overindulged itself. It tried to be some type of deep, uber-philosophical movie while at the same time being a crazy action flick showcasing all the fx jizz they know. It just lacked that cohesiveness that I found in the first film.
it didn't have much philosophy. instead, it had a GOOD scifi plotline. this is basically how I interpreted the movie: Spoilers by the way---
-difference between machines and humans. machines can't choose, don't have free will. humans can choose and have free will. -machines depends on humans for survival. brain acitivity powers them. -think of the matrix as Windows98, it will crash if you leave it on for a long time. So you have to reboot it once every while. Humans from the matrix will get accidentally unplugged once in a while, if matrix doesn't reboot, to get rid of those anomolies, it will eventually collapse.
-in order to control the human's free will, the machines setup a matrix cycle/revolution. -Neo or The One, is the reboot "program". He is created by the machines (field of babies) to end the current matrix cycle and start the next one. -Oracle is the program that plants the religion that the humans believe in. So Zion will always try to find The One and will always believe in The One (remember the people of the council giving Morpheus what he wanted, despite of the objections from the commander) -the machines can only influence events by adding programs. they basically have found the "equation of god". They can predict human actions by interpreting the past. so they can setup a sequence of events where Neo will always do what the machines want him to do. which in this case is to "reboot" the matrix each time.
Here is a general matrix cycle: -Zion is destroyed. a group of people, I assume including Neo, is picked from the survivors to repopulate Zion. The matrix recycles from an earlier time. -Neo's generation dies, they try to pass on the true meaning of the matrix down to their children. -after hundreds of generation, the true meaning of the matrix is obscured into a pseudo-religion. That, combined with meeting the Oracle, creates the "The One" belief again. -Almost end of the cycle. The One is created again by the machines. People of Zion unplugs him. Events of the first matrix happens, Neo finds out he is The One. False sense of hope is instilled. -Matrix reloaded events happens. The series of events placed by the machines made Neo fall in love with Trinity. So he will always choose to save Trinity, over saving Zion. Ending the first cycle again. And then starting the next cycle.
-The important thing here is to know that all the humans in the world HAS to be factored into the matrix cycle. If they are not part of the cycle, they will have free will and that is an anomoly to the machines.
i say persephone is the mother of the matrix, b/c the architect the mother was an"intuition program" i believe and she wanted to know how "love" worked so she kissed neo right. i dunno, it's late and i'm tired.
-::- before asking questions, search for the answers......use google -::-
"please, kiss me like i'm her...." blaw blaw blaw..... bullshit! and that ending! "to be continued.." i always hate it if a director has one big story and is not able to properly split it into two films... this is just lame. and those two white ghosts. their animation sucked, it was just horrible, people were laughing all over the cinema, including me and my friends. well, i'm happy i saw it at the movies, because otherwise i probably would not have been able to appretiate the few cool scenes the movie actually had....
dunno, i read in some review that they totally rely on the rag-tag look in zion, making it ubercheesy overall. though the plot actually seems interesting (from vaht i read from daemonkao)...
so if i hid in a basement and dressed in rags, claiming my computer has taken control of the house, and had a friend install a holographic projector, could i earn $50 million, in one day?!
argh nm. i just say they should come out with some bikini calendar and sell out completely.
