how do you check old IM chats that are on aim. like if u wanna check what someone typed a month ago how do you do that????

get a program that has logging
if you have dead aim already as many do they are in my documents under aim logs or something similar

if you're using regular AIM, they're gone
closing the window is like hanging up a phone...if you weren't recording it, you sure aren't now
