i told the guys in #custo that i didn't like the tshirt design, but i would buy a custo tshirt if the design was more to my liking. so they got all bitchy and told me to design my own. this is what i did. go ahead and tell me how crappy it is.
There's a difference between being open to criticism and you coming onto the irc channel berating our products in the most demeaning way possible. You laid on sarcasm, and a generally negative attitude.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you've gotta expect people to get a little defensive when the first words out of your mouth are, "your shirt sucks."

yeah when i first mentioned it in the channel, my comment was filled with sarcasm and intended as a joke. i understand that isn't the best way to show displeasure in a product, and i think the retaliation by the admins was a little over the top also. when people put "heh" or a smiley after a comment, 9 times out of 10 it means the comment was meant to be a joke.
well, all I can say now is that if you have ideas for another customize t-shirt design...you might want to hold on to them. There will be new designs, and it has yet to be decided how they will be created.

Sure is America (at least where the servers are hosted) but keep in mind this isn't your domain. I'm sure a lot of people think you're a dick when you go to their houses and preach your arrogant opinion.

It's nice how the admins bust their asses to help the site out and ungrateful people like you hypocritically mock our services, turn around and use/abuse them, and then bitch for something better.
dont be a dick if someone designs a shirt you dont like. for the amount of time i have been here ive seen peoples opinions vary from "you are my hero, let me learn your ways" to a "that is trend-whorish, and very unusuable.".
but flaming someone like colossus for making the design everyone picked(i'm assuming they voted on it or something) is just wrong and unacceptable. like Arznek said this is America and people have the right to free speech. but dont be a dick about it.

Wow... I didn't you guys could be this petty. Honestly if I had a choice I'd probably buy splats design. I think it would be cool if everyone could submit a t-shirt design. However, talking down to admins and bitching about designs probably wasn't the best way to suggest it. Lets have a little tact.

I think the shirt rocks and will buy one, but that still doesnt change the fact that splat is being lame. btw splat, I read everything you had to say again, and in the end it just made me think even less of you.
Dude, why you hating on a kick ass shirt like the current custo one? Sure that may sound dumb too add, but we have to let the admins know that thier products kick ass. I am gonna buy it later today. BWT, how many of each shirt is made?

for everyone else... im sure in time there will be other shirts.. hell they even said that each shirt will be limitied in numbers and that each design will be different... personaly if i had the money i'd buy atleast one of each design.. =( but im a poor small business owner just trying to make a buck

The shirt looks good period. It's a really stylish shirt. I'm a very fashion conscious guy (ask anyone around here who has met me in real life) and I wear mine. It's a great looking shirt.
Splat, a nice attempt, but the tribal style doesn't work very well on a shirt (as opposed to in tattoos, which is where I'm used to seeing it.) As far as the second shirt... well I don't think much thought was put into it. I wouldn't wear either. I think the logo was presented much more stylishly in the current t-shirt design.

I'm glad he resurrected it, because I had the same opinion as splat. The current design is much too flamboyent and that's now how I wear my tees. Splat's has it's faults too, but if he were to update it, make the screen printing red on a black tee (I prefer dark colors), I'd consider buying it. I still don't feel very zealous about "rocking" a customize.org t-shirt as I have a social agenda to contend with. But, splat's is at is more appealing 5 fold.
