vanilla sky is by far the best, and original, movie i've seen in a long time.. just wanna say thanks to sticboy for recommending it. i suggest everyone see it :)

at the very beginning of the movie, you can hear sophia say "abre los ojos. open your eyes. open your eyes. open your eyes."
then david (tom cruise) goes about his day and, at this point, he is dreaming and nobody is out in the street. then, he wakes up and sees cameron diaz and says, "hey, stop leaving me these messages on my alarm clock!"
there's no question it's not sophia's voice. david and sophia have not met at this point. if this is so, maybe the whole entire movie was his dream. maybe he wasn't a rich guy. maybe the splice (where his dream kicked in) was really not when his dream kicked in.
yah just saw t3 and charles angels today.. t3 was awsome, and well charles angels was a bite to fake, but if you like seeing good looking girls, ass, and a quick shot of their tits, well that movie is for you :P
I saw Equilibrium this afternoon. To anyone who liked the Matrix (you know, everyone) or 1984 (the book), I highly recommend it. Some of the best sets, traditional fight scenes (no CG), cinematography and editing I have ever seen.

ive never even heard of equilibrium....hmmm loved 1984, live by that book at times. Martix come on who doesnt love the matrix. imma have to check this movie out.....btw had anyone seen the original movie to 1984 or even the best of all! Soilent green...ahhh kick ass movie....Soilent green is made of people!!!
The original was spanish, is called "Abre los Ojos" or "Open your Eyes" directed by Alejandro Amenábar (the same of "The Others") and Penelope Cruz plays the same character in both movies.
28 days later was sucked! the first 20 minutes of it was sooo boring with him just walking around.... and then i watched maybe another 30 and just couldnt finish it, so i deleted it from my computer. i still havnt seen vanilla sky though, i want to... all my friends say its really good.
so im not the only one who noticed that about Equilibium. i though i was going insane or something. Vanilla sky was a pretty good movie too. memento is a brilliant movie also.
I would concur, whody. Vanilla Sky is one great movie. It's one of my favorites. You've got an interesting theory about sophia's voice. I noticed that the first time I saw the movie that it was a different voice each time, but when you first time you see it you don't really know for sure who it is, but it is interesting. For the people that moved topics: 1) Equilibrium is a very good movie, albeit following the trend of recent action movies that try to pull you in with a more spiritual side to it, I.E the whole prozium/battle over feeling; 2) I just got back from Terminator. It was an interesting movie brought down by some really cheesy lines, and some obvious product placement in the beginning, but overall it wasn't that bad. It made a good addition to the trilogy(I hope there isn't another) that compliments the others, but on its own, it may not stand so strong to the james cameron renditions; finally, 3) I would like to see 28 days later. It looks to have a good story to it, and I was intrigued by it... I'll have to watch it to find out why.

but momento is another must see .. . with guy pierce .. . it's one of only two movies that is completely backwards .. . ______________________ nothing of me is unique .. . i'm the combined effort of everyone i've ever known .. .
Equilibrium was a real good movie... the whole idea was awesome. The whole surrounding in black, white, greys and stuff... even the freakin interior of the cars! pure genius
I never saw Vanilla Sky but maybe I will. I just don't like Tom Cruise very much as an actor, but if it's as good as everyone says it is, I'll check it out.

I had a debate with my friend on which one looked better, Penelope Cruz or Cameron Diaz...Well he said Cameron and I said Penelope, and not just for the sake of argument. I think she's way finer than Diaz! Classy feminine look, big dark eyes, awesome lips, and her accent is so damn sexy! That's just me thought. =P
