1 - no trademark infrigment. you cant use the apple logo, cant use the microsoft logo. thats automatic deletion.
2 - no copyright infrigment if you include a drawn image or a photograph, make sure you tell me if in the comments that you drew/took it. if you dont, it's deleted
3 - color packs go in one zip if you post every color separately, one will be kept rest will be deleted

this has been discussed last month... i tried to convince myself that this is a cycle, but it seems that wallpapers have long been going strong, while skins never really pick up. i, for one, would love to see more people skinning mozilla. ok, it's a big project, how about smaller ones like beatnik clock, getright, or hell, colorpad? but hell, anything is good, so let's just imagine customize dot org as a wallpaper repository for now.
i dont think we should take away the wp section, there are really good ones in there and just like skinning its art that someone does to customize ur computer. there are some (like mine) that arent too good and shouldnt be uploaded (im stopping dont worry) but there r really good wp floating around this site and i think we should keep 'em
craeonics: not unless you could deny the fact that wallpaper is one big part of customization.
a large portion of the screen is occupied by wallpaper, which has inspired a handful of pukka skins. wallpapers reach more audience: changing wallpapers is something even newbies would do, but certainly not everyone would bother buying windowblinds, or replaces explorer.exe with LS, etc. wallpapers are fairly easy to create too, but most of all... unlike winamp, mozilla or litestep (installing a LS theme does require effort), wallpapers don't require setup and all that. either save to disk or close the window, that's truly get up and go. quick creation process, quick installation, quicker to be rewarded, i think that sums up pretty well why cust is flooded with wallpapers.
Exactly. This is the issue on every skin site. I know there's not much to do about it, but I sometimes feel skinning is an endangered species overrun by the hordes of Wallpaper Bunnies multiplying like hell.
Perhaps an option to limit the number of walls shown on the New Submission list?
pod, i simply ain't a skinner. and complaining is a strong word, we're just pointing out how to improve custo. don't really want to promise anything, but currently i am building a litestep theme, just having a bit of a trouble. the theme shall come out anytime between this weekend and next month, depends on my day job and other agenda.
Well Fiero, my advice is keep at it, and if at first you don't suceed, try try again. Again, that is, if you are interested in skins. (If not, you shouldn't be complaining, or whatever other euphamism you would prefer)
Oh and if you are having trouble don't be afraid to ask, there are people out there who are willing to help. ^_^
