Big Desktop Icons

SnowE 2, most likely, www.red-e8.com for big icons, go to control panel > display > apperance > icons , 72 max

isn't it www.rad-e8.com ?

and you can make the icons as big as you want by editing the registry.

i want to figure out how to have big icons on the desktop and normal sized ones everywhere else (without setting the view to Tiles etc)

try using desktopX.

(draw your desktop icons with desktopX and run it on top of explorer..)

caser1996: you're going to need windowfx for that.

yeah, i heard windowFX could do that but i think it only does the desktop icons up to 72, i want crazy large 128 =) plus i'd like to do it if it was a reeshack or something, i don't really want another program running. but thanks for the help.

well i know this isn't what you want, but litestep can put any size png on your desktop if you want. that's what i used in my gorilla-step theme. just 128 px png's and layercut.dll.

My bad dude, nobody answered your question. here you go. BEFORE STARTING, MAKE SURE TO HAVE YOUR ICON SETTING TO LESS THAN 72

To see this screen, right click over your desktop, select properties, go to the appearance tab, and click on advanced.

1. First go to the start menu, select RUN

2. Type "regedit" and click accept

3. Be sure to follow the next path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER} CONTROL PANEL} DESKTOP} WINDOWS METRICS.

4. Then where it says Shell Icon Size

5. Double click it, and change the current value(16, or 32, or 64 or 72) to 128 and then click accept

6. Then go to Display Properties, and in the Appearance Tab, select Advanced

7. In the advanced windows, where it says item select icon. And it MUST say 72.(if it doesn't say 72, try again from the beginning). Then click accept.

8. click accept in the other remaining window, and if done correctly, it should appear a image saying to wait

9. It should display big icons
