I'm making a Mix Tape, or CD as it were for a girl I like as a Christmas present. She's made it clear that she doesn't want ANYTHING from ANYONE, so I figure I can settle by just giving her this with a nice card. What I'm looking for is some suggestions of songs I could put on it. Any suggestions are welcome, but I'm especially looking for tracks that are a little less known. They don't have to be Christmas songs.

OK, j/k :-) the mix tape ("Friends", anyone?) is a nice idea. If she remembers that far back, you can make it an 80's themed tape . . Lady in Red, Take My Breath Away (a must), and uh, Modern Talking . . .
I guess I did leave out the important fact of what type of music she likes. She's LOVES 80's shit. I already have some Cure on there. I also have an obscure track by Jimmy Eat World on there. I guess she is more apt to listen to the new "punk/emo" stuff. I hate using those words, but stuff like Brand New, The Weakerthans, etc. Other great 80's songs would be a great help. But I'm not throwing "Every Breath You Take" on there, because it's like the most hardcore stalker song ever.
I appreciate the help, also I'm not really looking for anything hardcore with screaming or anything in it. She likes that sort of stuff too, but this is kind of like a mellow, poetic type of CD.
Lastly, she doesn't want anything, heh I know her. She'd be upset if I went out and bought her something nice. This seems nice enough, without spending money.
