Litestep Hangs

I have a pretty fast computer 1.8 ghz, 512 ddr ram, it runs very well but i just recently reformatted and reinstalled winxp pro. I saw litestep and decided to use it. Anyhow ever since i installed litestep, it hangs when i login the first time on my computer for about 5 minutes then logs in. IF i hit windowskey+l to logoff and then type in my password again, it will load instantly. I have a lot of unneccaasry services shut off and i only allow what i need to start up. MY startup programs are: Nvidia driver stuff, keyboard/mouse/sound drivers, itunes helper, mozilla, gaim, and stylexp. I have no viruses or spyware and i tried reinstalling litestep, using newest version. I am using a simple theme with rainlender and a simple background. I have also tried stopping services in combinations so they dont autostart with no luck. ANyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

seriously don't talk if you're gonna give me that stuff, the mozilla service works 100% fine and even when it is disabled, litestep still hangs. I use it a lot so it is worth putting the program in memory.

switch to classic logon. litestep takes a while to use the welcome screen login system. the only advantage you will lose with classic logon is "fast user switching". with classic logon it will take a second to logon to your system.

it's not really a bug... it's just how it works since LS is a third party application that is trying to load itself as the desktop environment and windows doesn't like that much. switching to classic logon fixes it.

Ok i cant go to the litestep forums because their site is down this week. I switched to classic mode for logon and its weird because now it only hangs once every few reboots.

yea litestep.net, litestep.com and lsthemes.com are all down... try loose-screws.com though.

that's the only solution i know of and it appears to have half-worked for you... not sure why it hangs ever other reboot though.
