anyone know when the Intel P4d is comming out?

Looks like you'll be able to pick up a Canterwood super cheap come the 2nd.

But a 1mb cache on a 3 gig 800 mhz fsb cpu for only $221 sounds very nice too.

If they do cut current p4 prices by 33%, you'll be able to to pick up the Canterwood 3 gig 800 fsb but with a 512 k cache for about 150 bucks! And anyway you slice it, that's still a very fast cpu that would take care of a body for a spell.

Nice time to be a computer shopper. Long live the AMD-Intel price wars.

Intel will have nullified the reason people buy AMD, the dollar to power ratio.

AMD can only do one thing, cut it's prices. I wouldn't mind laying hands on a Athlon 64 FX-51 for about 4-500 bucks.

I got that link from a reputable source, but still...
