Vector Graphic out of Photo/Picture?

i kno illustrator is the more popular, but i use photoshop...

Actually any vector program (and photoshop is not a vector program) can help, as long as you like it. There is freehand (wich i hate, if you ask me) and coreldraw... and that's the two I can think of right now.

when i wanna do flash stuff.. i use flash.. i really like it but im guessing it doesnt have some of the advanced feautres as illustrator and freehand does

90% of my work is done in Freehand (v.MX), if you want flexibility use freehand, if you want serious vector work/effects use illustrator.

You can't use Photoshop to create vector.

Photoshop can only be used to create rasters, no matter how you look at it.

Illustrator is the way to go for vectors.

Shape tools in Photoshop = vector.
Path tools in Photoshop = vector.
Text in Photoshop = vector.


You CAN do vector work in Photoshop, it's just a bit rudimentary in comparison to its Rasterized functions.

^^ but when you save it or flatten it, it is turned into raster is it not? I am asking for clarification.
